Starting Dragon Stone Count: 115
Today’s Priorities:
- Clearing all Baby Saga Story stages on Z-Hard.
- Dokkan Awakening TEQ SSG Vegeta and PHY Trunks
- Getting 1 Recoome for F2P Ginyu Force team.
- Hitting Rank 50.
- Completing Epic Showdown Z-Hard stages to enable Hidden Potential System.
I. Clearing Baby Saga Story Stages
With the realization that both of these events will be gone after today and the high likelihood I would only be able to play for a little while, I decided to aggressively beat all the Z-Hard stages so I would be able to get the Dragon Stones from them. The conservative stamina approach went out the window simply due to the time crunch. After beating the first stage pretty easily, I was confident I could plow through these stages. The only parts that gave me problems were when the Ki just didn’t work out and it took me a few turns to get a Super Attack off on either my PHY Vegeta or my friend’s. If you are having difficulty, be sure your main hard-hitting units are Z-Awoken and don’t be afraid to use Support Items. Senzu Beans can be purchased through the Zeni tab in the Baba Shop every day, so I would take advantage of that if you find yourself taking a lot of damage! They are good even in the late-game, but you don't need to go too crazy buying them since you end up naturally accumulating them over time and there are more optimal Support items to use by the late-game.

II. A Moment’s Confusion
After clearing the Baby stages I found myself at a slight loss in what I should do for sequencing. The first thing I did was use up my friend points and I was able to pull an SR PHY Saiyaman 1 & 2, who eventually can become an LR that’s a very decent support unit. I decided I would finally get rid of the Nappa on my team, exchange him for Baba points immediately, and replace him with a Z-Awoken Saiyaman. I don’t think they share any links whatsoever with my other units, but the +1 Ki Passive Skill is a reasonable step up from the Nappa.

At this time I had a mini debate with myself if I should Dokkan Awaken the TEQ SSG Vegeta and PHY Trunks or not. The rule of thumb is that it’s better to get your units to Super Attack lv 10 and unlock Hidden Potential paths before Dokkan Awakening so you don’t have to use the Hourglass item to revert your units back, but in all reality both of my other accounts have never had an issue with having too few Hourglass items in the long run. I reasoned that the benefit from having the units be a little stronger would be better in the short-term, than holding off for SA skill-ups or dupes for Hidden Potential that I wouldn’t get anyway for a long time. Between the 2 units, Trunks has a reasonable farmable skill-up, while it takes quite a bit of time commitment to farm skill-ups for the SSG Vegeta (Dokkan Awakening the Vegeta from the Broly Movie event who requires 20 medals per unit). I would still need 630 Gregory medals to get 9 of the farmable Trunks to get the PHY Trunks to SA10, and I knew whatever Gregories I amassed should go towards other units before trying to get my Trunks to SA10 at this point. Without the EZA he is simply an underwhelming unit and it will be a while before I can clear any Extreme Z Battles. So after clearing the needed stages of the Future Saga event, I Dokkan Awakened both Vegeta and Trunks so that my team now looks like this:

I'm really wishing the Broly Movie event would come back so I could put the Goku and Vegeta Coat units and the INT SSJ Broly on this team.
III. Recoome’ing it Up
After getting my 1 Recoome, I was honestly stumped for what I should prioritize to do. I had an initial inkling to farm the AGL Vegeta from the Beerus/Rage Vegeta event since I thought he was a Pure Saiyan, but after seeing that he isn’t part of the category, decided to forego this for now. I do have 1 copy though. My next thought was “well, maybe I should just get Recoome to SA10 and start the process towards rainbow’ing the Ginyu Force team". I ended up going with that and did the Recoome stage over and over and over again, to the point he is now SA10. As an FYI for these daily Ginyu events, if you see Thouser that means you will get a guaranteed drop of the unit for the day if you beat him, while if you battle the Ginyu Force member himself, you only have a chance of getting a drop. I had quite the string of getting Z-Swords from the drops for a while, which really got aggravating! Eventually a couple Thouser appearances saved me from this grind.
IV. Super Attack Explanation
For those that are new, units normally range in their Super Attack level between 1 to 10. Units that are fully Extreme Z-Awoken can go up to SA15, while LR’s can go up to 20. The benefit of getting your Super Attack to max level is that it will do significantly more damage than being at a lower level. The process of increasing the SA level of a unit is to either train the unit with exact duplicate cards, cards with the same base name as the card, using Dozing Kais, using Grand Kais, and using Elder Kais. There are a few other units such as Christmas Master Roshi and Christmas Trunks & Mai, but they are essentially just Elder Kais in different skins. Dozing Kais provide a 30% skill-up rate, Grand Kais provide a 100% rate for a type-match (ie a TEQ Grand Kai will provide a guaranteed skill-up for a TEQ unit), and Elder Kais have no restrictions and guarantee a unit to increase their SA by 1. Naturally Elder Kais are rarer than any of the other Kais but aren’t so rare that you’ll hardly ever get them or anything. My main accounts actually have a surplus and I’m just waiting to pull a bunch of good units to use them on!
The pictures below show the process of getting my Recoome from SA1 to SA10. The process of SA’ing units can vary depending on the unit itself and what farmable options there are, but in this instance where you have multiple of the exact same farmable unit I would recommend doing it in a similar fashion. As you can see each Recoome in the Training Partners section has a 100% in front of it, and in the Super ATK Lv row it says 1/10 +5. This means after this training session Recoome's Super Attack will go from 1 to 6. This is all you can do in a single training session since you can only include up to 5 training partners. In the second picture you can see Recoome is starting out at SA6, and will go to 10 after providing him 4 additional Recoomes. Including a bunch of extra training items will get him to the max level of 80 as well.

V. Epic Showdown Z-Hard Stages
Once you hit Rank 50 and beat the Z-Hard stages of the Epic Showdown event, you will have the ability to access the Hidden Potential system. This one will be covered in a future post for the new players. In a nutshell, it is a way for your units to be stronger than they are naturally capable of. If you have played PAD, it is the same as +297’ing your units. Other gacha games have this as well but I’m not exactly sure what they are called. I know that I will want my PHY Vegeta to be as strong as he can, plus it is a necessity in order to rainbow out the Ginyu Force team, so I just plowed through the stages, which are both quite easy.
VI. More Recoome
At this point I thought I was done for the day, but I really wanted to get 4 more copies of Recoome for his Hidden Potential and knew I still had some more potential orbs to obtain. Although not pictured here, I did manage to get the 4 extra copies although I may need to do a few more runs to have all the orbs necessary to get him to 100%.
So by the end of the day, the box looks like:

This was another good day as you get many rewards for getting to rank 50 and I made a ton of progress on Recoome. Next week will be a big push to round out the rest of the Ginyu Force, although as I get higher in rank I will be less likely to loop the events and get a stamina refill continuously.
